The world of model recruitment can be exciting for sure but can also get unpleasant at times. Yes, I know I’m not running Playboy , Maxim , or Men’s Health here. Hopefully I am putting something even better together for the professional singles of Nashville. But progress is slow, especially at first. I still recall September of 2019 when I did well just to attract two models to show up for an interview. I hired both of them for my first shoot. Momentum is everything, and when a pandemic stops your momentum, starting over again can be quite humbling. In this age, courtesy and professionalism are not qualities seen in abundance. I can handle the flakes and short-lived casual interest from my model candidates. But rudeness and disrespect have reared their ugly heads a lot. All  Cloud Nine Higher  photo shoots have been special in their own right. Each has a unique story from my point of view in recruiting models and planning the shoots and from the model's point of view in telling his/her own story of this life we live.  Publication of  Cloud Nine Higher  slowed down significantly in the first part of 2021 as I dealt with a suspension of in person court in the great state of Tennessee and its effects on the profitability of my law practice. Once momentum is lost, it is difficult to regain. But not impossible to regain. Moxie came to me with her fiancé Blaine for support. When I learned that my new promotional model Whitney Be is involved in the music business and that she moved to Nashville from Daphne, Alabama, I am naturally thinking "country music developing recording artist". And Whitney may indeed perform some country music during her time here in town. But she is much more colorful and diverse than that. She is colorful, bouncy, creative, and outgoing, as many of my models are.  My shoots are normally on weeknights or Saturdays, but Whitney wanted to get rolling as soon as possible.
